In an ever evolving world of manipulated ingredients and information, people don’t always realize they have a choice. It’s not just about what they eat, it’s about who produces it.
Pasture-based farmers are young and old, men and women, greenhorns and multi-generational farm families.
In order to tell theses stories, we were asked by Farm Marketing Solutions to create a cohesive collection of portraits at the annual American Pastured Poultry Producers Association conference.

A back to the land movement has started as an alternative to factory farmed meat that has a positive impact on the chickens, the land, and the people. Across the country and around the world, chickens are being moved out of the barns and onto fresh pasture. Chickens who live their lives moving across well-managed pasture have a more diverse diet, plenty of fresh air and sunshine, and a whole lot more room to move around.
